Interim Pastoral Search Committee Update
We have been busy! Here is a summary of what’s been going on with the search process:
1. The Intentional Interim Pastor Job Description was updated.
2. Council provided a budget for expenses related to filling the pulpit, advertising the position and a salary range for the Intentional Interim Pastor.
3. Judi set up an email box for job applicants.
4. The job was posted on Indeed.com and Churchstaffing.com the 3rd week of January. Applicants have until March 1 to apply but this deadline may be extended if necessary.
5. Information about the job was also provided to the NACCC and the Wisconsin CCCC representative.
6. Applications have been received from individuals representing a variety of Christian faith traditions.
7. We’ve developed Interview questions and began to sort through applications.
8. Initial interviews will start the second half of February and if necessary, extend into March. More extensive follow-up interviews will be done with the most promising candidates.
9. With the exception of one Sunday, Pulpit Supply has been secured through the end of March.
10. Rev. Paul Ray of First Congregational Church in Rochester graciously offered to be our on-call pastor for things such as hospital visits or funerals, however, he is facing some health issues and may not be available for a while. In the meantime, consider joining the Visitation Ministry Team so that we can respond to member’s needs. Please contact Janine Coley or Joanne Himebauch to offer your services.
We ask for your continued prayers of support during this transition time.
If you have questions, please contact one of the Committee members.
