Shoeboxes are here!
October 22nd – November 12
There are two ways you can fill your shoeboxes. You can pack a traditional box (found on the cart in the back of the Sanctuary) or you can build boxes online.
Inside the traditional boxes are pamphlets with ideas of how to pack your boxes. For more in-depth gift suggestions click HERE. Please use the label on the pamphlet to mark whether you’re buying for a boy or a girl and the age. The shipping fee is $10 per box. Missions will pay for shipping of the boxes, but we are also accepting donations to help with the cost of the shipping fees. Please do not put money in the boxes. If you choose to donate either part or all of the shipping fee, you may put cash, or a check made out to FCC in the wooden lock box on the table by the boxes.
Building a Shoebox Online. Click HERE to build your shoeboxes online:
The cost to build online is $25 per box, which includes the shipping fee. It’s an easy way to fill a shoebox and you get to pick out the items you want to put in each box you build.
We’ve set a goal of 40 traditional and 40 online shoeboxes. Let’s see what we can do!
This year marks 30 years since Samaritan’s Purse began collecting, and they’ve been blessed by 209 million boxes filled with gifts to hurting children and who’ve been introduced to the Good News of Jesus Christ!
Thanks for packing and have fun!

Thank you to everyone who donated candy and Halloween bags for the residents of Linden Grove, Castle, and Brolan. Thank you also to those who helped assemble the treat bags. We added some spider rings and small notepads to the bags of candy. Your kindness was appreciated by the three places receiving the treat bags!
Sunday, October 29th
If your idea of heaven is streams of chocolate, football on a big screen, and streets of gold - we've got two out of three on Sunday, October 29th! As we celebrate our year of Bible reading together, join us for a time of feasting and fellowship. Stay for dinner after worship and the Packer v Viking game starting at noon. EVERYONE IS WELCOME - no Rsvp needed.
“You must be always killing sin, or it will be killing you!” - John Owen
1 Peter 1:16 says, "You shall be holy, for I am holy.” Join the Scripture Chicks as we discuss holiness using John Owen's Christian classic, On The Mortification of Sin. Written nearly 400 years ago, it is still as relevant as ever, and free copies are available in updated language or the original text. Click HERE.
Don't be intimidated! We don't aim to tackle all 400+ pages, but instead will have focused, substantive discussions on select portions of the text. Join us Tuesday evenings at 6:30 beginning on November 7th in the classroom. Contact Karen at kmathew5@zoho.com for info.
If Revelation seems a bit confusing as you read through your Bible, we've found an easy-to-read, helpful guide. All our copies are gone, but if you would like to purchase a copy click HERE.
Note: This book does not take a doctrinal position on the various understandings of end-times. Rather it explains verses in Scripture from the various points of view.
