What to Expect
Looking for a church home can be one of the most exhausting and trying experiences a person can go through. We recognize this and want to make your search a little easier. We want you to be where God is calling you to be. If with us at FCC, we rejoice! If elsewhere, we will rejoice (but maybe not as much). Seriously, we have a Kingdom vision and mindset. We’re genuinely excited about what God is doing in our area in local congregations of God’s people. You need to be where you belong, where you are spiritually nurtured, and where you can serve our Lord.
Our services are relaxed. We enjoy laughter, exchange handshakes and hugs, and embrace tears. We are challenged in mind and spirit and strive to recognize Christ in our midst.
Our services are filled with:
- music (organ, piano, occasional guitar)
- scripture readings and responsive readings
- a children’s sermon
- an offering
- opportunity for prayer requests
- a message from one of our pastors
- a congregational greeting time.
Our services are focused on experiencing God. They are a time for us to think about and feel the presence of our Lord. Giving God our mind’s attention, our heart’s affection, and our life’s devotion is the goal of our worship.
Our services are Christo-centric. We worship God through Jesus Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit.
We celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month (as well as at other times). All who profess Christ as Lord are welcome to join in encountering God as we remember what Christ has done (“proclaiming his death until he returns”–1 Cor. 11).
We invite you to come and worship with us.
If you feel God leading you to stay, Great!!
If not, you will go with our blessings and friendship!
If you can’t seem to find what you are looking for in a church, talk with Pastor Rick and explain your frustration. He is very happy to discuss different denominations with you and see if he can help find a good match for you.
